I.
THE PURPOSE OF THE FESTIVAL:
The
festival aims to promote vocal and artistic qualities, along with the musical
creativity of all artists performing in this competition. The advertising will
be made mainly by the national network of Children's Palaces and Clubs,
Commissions county Education, as well as through many other specialized media
and social networks.
II.
CATEGORIES OF
THE FESTIVAL:
The Festival will unfold into two major
categories:
ENTERTAINMENT
MUSIC – Vocal Performance – 14th June:
-
This category includes
pop, jazz, ethno, rock, pop-opera etc.
-
Performing categories,
depending on contestant`s age:
Ø
Category 6 – 8 years
old;
Ø
Category 9 – 10 years
old;
Ø
Category 11 – 12 years
old;
Ø
Category 13 – 15 years
old;
Ø
Category 16 – 25 years
old.
*
The songs chosen for this category should not exceed 4
minutes;
*
In the final of the festival, aprox. 10 competitors (from
România and Foreign) will be accepted for each age category;
*
In case of one or more categories not completed, the age
categories could be modified.
TRADITIONAL MUSIC
– Vocal Performance – 13th June:
-
Performing categories,
depending on contestant`s age:
Ø
Category 6 – 10 years
old;
Ø
Category 11 – 13 years
old;
Ø
Category 14 – 25 years
old.

The song for this category should not exceed 4 minutes;
*
The performers must be dressed in traditional clothes of the
country they are representing;
*
In the final of the festival, aprox. 10 competitors (from
România and Foreign) will be accepted for each age category;
*
In case of one or more categories not completed, the age
categories could be modified.
CREATION (divides into two subsections) – June 14:
1. CREATION:
*
Competitors between the ages of 5 and 25 (both soloists and
groups) can participate, who will perform their own song (released between June
2024 and June 2025);
*
Competitors participating in this section may have the
negative or another instrument (guitar, organ, etc.) as a musical support;
*
For pre-selection, a video (live) with the song will be sent;
*
A maximum of 5 competitors will be admitted for this section.
2. Competitors from abroad can also
participate in the section: REINTERPRETATION AND REORCHESTRATION OF A
ROMANIAN SONG.
III.
STAGES OF
PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST:
The
Hermannstadtfest International Festival has the following stages:

Preselection
3.
The final phase
1. ENTRY STAGE:
Guideline,
rules and registration forms required for entering the competition:

Minimum age of
contestants: 5 years old
·
Maximum age of
contestants: 25 years old
·
Registration forms and
all the other required documents can be sent by e-mail at: hermannstadtfest@yahoo.com or simionescu_daniela@yahoo.com.
The registration form and the required documents
should be sent no later than April 14th of 2024. Required documents to be sent on email:
1)
Registration form. On
this form, the contestant should write two song titles (in the order they
prefer – the first one is the main choice and the second one is the backup). No
two competitors will perform the same song at the same age category. The
first competitor to register the competition has priority!
2)
Copy of the Identity
Card or Birth Certificate;
3)
Link or record singing
performance (LIVE).
2. PRESELECTION:
! NO PRESELECTION FEE IS CHARGED !
The preselection will be made only for the
interpretation section, in two ways:
1)
Based on the
registration file. The competitors selected in the final will receive a message
from the organizers and will have to send the following materials by May 1:
ü
The written parental
consent to the organizer for using the contestant`s photos and YouTube links
(for contestants under the age of 18);
ü
The backing
track/instrumental of the song that the participant will perform in the
contest;
ü
Proof of Festival`s Sponsorship Fee payment
(and accommodation facilities payment – for interested contestants and their chaperones only).
If those admitted to the final do not
send all the materials by May 1, the competitors on the reserve list will
qualify instead.

For participating to one of the major categories (Entertainment Music
or Traditional Music) the fee 60
euro;
-
If the participant also wants to perform in the second category,
an additional 50 euro fee
has to be made;

Accommodation facilities for those interested are as follows: 210 Euro/
person/ 3 nights (Thursday – Sunday) – for accomodation and breakfast, trip. We
expect the payment of one night of accommodation in advance. For further

On June 13, 2025, competitors from abroad will benefit from a trip to
the BRAMBURA PARK (Avrig, Sibiu).
3. FINAL STAGE:
-
The age category with
less than 10 competitors will be combined with another age category;
-
The organizers will
not take any responsibility concerning the copyright or any other rights of the
songs performed in the competition, the contestants being only responsible for
all the direct or indirect consequences of their participation in the
competition;
-
The competitors will
perform the songs using the backing – track/ instrumental they have previously
sent on the Festival`s email and they must sing LIVE;

The list of the
selected competitors and the selected songs will be posted until 1th June 2025
at: http://www.festivalul-hermannstadtfest.blogspot.ro. The Festival schedule will be posted there as well.
IV.
PRIZE AWARDING CEREMONY:
The organizers of the International Festival
„HERMANNSTADTFEST” will give the following awards:
·
THE GRAND TROPHY – for every section;
·
ADRIAN ORDEAN TROPHY – will be awarded to a single competitor
regardless of age category;
·
I EXCELLENCE PRIZE – Creation – will be awarded to a single
competitor who obtained the highest score in the "Creation" section;
·
I EXCELLENCE PRIZE – will be awarded to each age category of
each section to a single competitor who has obtained the highest average (In
groups where the average is not 9.75, this prize is not awarded);
·
FIRST PRIZE, SECOND
PRIZE, THIRD PRIZE – for each section of
each music genre;
·
MENTIONS – for each section of each music genre;
·
SPECIAL AWARDS – awarded
by the Jury, partners and sponsors.
PRIZE
VALUE:

100 Euro – The Grand
Trophy;
-
Voucher for
accommodation at a guesthouse in Sibiu: The Grand Trophy, Adrian Ordean Trophy;
! The prizes will be awarded according to the Jury’s decision,
which is irrevocable !
V.
OTHER IMPORTANT CLARIFICATIONS:
-
If a competitor had
been studying with a Jury member, that Jury member will refrain from giving
mark to that competitor. The mark will be given by the president of the jury;
-
The Jury will consider
the quality of the performance, the vocal qualities, the show and also the
outfit of the contestants;
-
In case performer
doesn`t show up at the competition, the sponsorship fee will NOT be refunded;
-
The jury members of this Festival will consist of: composers, TV and
Broadcasting producers, well-known performers, journalists, specialized
teachers and representatives from the organizers.
